Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing specific administrative functions and duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies established at Door County Cooperative. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for operating software programs and various office equipment while performing the duties of this position. They are accountable for accurately maintaining customer records, sales transactions, inventory costs and counts, purchase payables, and providing assistance and redundancy when needed in Propane and SFM. They will perform office area housekeeping activities, supervise all maintenance and repair of office equipment. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the phones, direct calls, and take messages
  • Maintain customer information & record
  • Maintain an ample Inventory of office supplies
  • Verifies discrepancies and resolves the client’s billing issues
  • Verifies daily batches for discrepancies and finalizes batches
  • Logs batch information into the required spreadsheets daily
  • Generates accounting statements and reports as needed
  • Create deposit slips for checks to be deposited
  • Contact customers in regards to outstanding invoices as needed
  • Mail out correspondence as it relates to the department
  • Processes accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintains telephone and personal contact with staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by the supervisor
  • Organizes and maintains retention files for the required period of time
  • Any other Administrative Assistant-related record-keeping assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Office Communication equipment
  • General knowledge of computer software is needed to perform daily duties

Agriculture Operations Team Member

At Door County Cooperative, you will be part of a team supporting our local farm community. You will work directly with producers on the farm and in the field, alongside our team at Door County Cooperative, which has a passion for agriculture. This collaboration will add value to the process and improve our customers’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Spraying crops, spreading fertilizer, delivering seed and fertilizer to and from specified destinations
  • Maintains compliance with Company DOT requirements and the Driver's Manual
  • Ability to communicate with the supervisor about all maintenance and repairs of equipment and supplies
  • Prepares and maintains records following regulations and company procedures
  • Meets all applicable DOT and WI Dept. of Agriculture and WDNR rules and regulations, and can obtain a Pesticide Applicator Training license (PAT)
  • Provides exceptional customer support to meet customer demand by working evening hours and weekends, as needed
  • General shop maintenance

Requirements

  • Education and background in the Agricultural Field preferred
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision, with a passion for the business of agriculture
  • The driver must have the ability to lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs., be able to pull, push, stand, walk without assistance, and work outside in varying weather
  • CDL A/B
  • Must be able to pass a random drug test

Sales Associate - Sturgeon Bay

We are seeking a Retail Sales Representative to serve as our primary point of contact, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to meeting our sales quotas. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will contribute to your success in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied, and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct customers
  • Provide accurate information (e.g., product features, pricing, and after-sales services)
  • Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services
  • Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
  • Cross-sell products
  • Ensure racks are fully stocked
  • Manage returns of merchandise
  • Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
  • Inform customers about discounts and special offers
  • Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role
  • Understanding of the retail sales process
  • Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures with forklift experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts

  Lawn Care Technician

**WORK INDEPENDENTLY, 4 DAY WORK WEEK**

**MUST PASS PESTICIDE CERTIFICATE -- PAID FOR BY COMPANY**

Acts as the primary point of contact for all Pro Lawn customers and ensures the customer’s needs are being met by maintaining a personal and business image, and ensuring the customer receives a good experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prep trucks and equipment (not limited to checking the fluid levels and oil levels of the vehicles before heading out for the day)
  • Ensure that the Pro Lawn Rider and all other equipment needed to do your job are in working order
  • Follow inventory procedures and report to your direct manager daily
  • Complete the proper paperwork for each customer
  • Follow the price sheet when invoicing customers
  • Provide estimates and explain them to the customers, if needed

  • Driver's License (Required)
