The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing specific administrative functions and duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and policies established at Door County Cooperative. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for operating software programs and various office equipment while performing duties of this position. They are accountable for accurately maintaining customer records, sales transactions, inventory costs and counts, purchase payables, and providing assistance and redundancy when needed in Propane and SFM. They will perform office area housekeeping activities, supervise all maintenance and repair of office equipment. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Answer the phones, direct calls, take messages
- Maintain customer information & record
- Maintain ample Inventory of office supplies
- Verifies discrepancies and resolves client’s billing issues
- Verifies daily batches for discrepancies and finalizes batches
- Logs batch information into required spreadsheets daily
- Generates accounting statements and reports as needed
- Create deposit slips for checks to be deposited
- Contact customers in regards to outstanding invoices as needed
- Mail out correspondence as it related to the department
- Processes accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Maintains telephone and personal contact with staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by supervisor
- Organizes and maintains retention files for required period of time
- Any other Administrative Assistant related record keeping assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of Office Communication equipment
- General knowledge of computer software needed to perform daily duties

Propane Delivery Driver / Service
This position is responsible for delivering propane and installing it at customer locations in an efficient, punctual, and safe manner. The position requires a CDL license with hazmat endorsements and physical demands that include lifting.
Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains propane equipment for retail customers
- Responsible for providing emergency response, system installation, and testing
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.
- Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance with established safety procedures
- During daily interaction with customers, provides exceptional customer service by supplying service/safety information and answering inquiries
- Requires on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response
- Can assist in driving a bobtail when demand warrants it
- Performs other duties as assigned
- May work on propane appliances when needed
- Ability to work outside in varying weather/driving conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Complete field repairs of tank valves and seals; find and repair leaks at customer sites
- Installs and services customer and company equipment
- Performs all daily functions in a safe manner
- Maintains excellent customer relations by providing courteous, professional, and timely service
- Drives a service truck with a crane and boom attached to deliver, install, and remove tanks of various sizes at customer locations
- Position requires you to take the on-call phone as scheduled.
Requirements
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), HazMat endorsement, and Tanker endorsement are encouraged.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test, and Homeland Security Background Check.

Sales Agronomist
At Door County Cooperative, you will work directly with producers in the field. Daily responsibilities will include maintaining and increasing sales of crop inputs while expanding market share. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, possess a positive work ethic, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work unsupervised are required. Serving as the primary contact for our customers, providing feedback and recommendations, and offering solutions to improve crop production is a must.
Responsibilities
- Building strong customer relations by promoting industry-leading ideas and technology with current and future prospective customers daily
- Provide crop scouting services to identify weed, insect, disease, and plant nutrition concerns
- Collect, analyze, and interpret various test results and prepare recommendations accordingly
- Work side by side with the management team to achieve sales and quality goals.
- Obtain (CCA) Certified Crop Advisor Certification
- Ability to Lift 60lbs. Be able to pull, push, stand, and walk without assistance.
- Work outside in Inclement weather/driving conditions, as well as be able to work a flexible schedule with after-hours emergency call-outs.
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads specific crop support commodities to and from specified destinations
- Use of provided software for soil sampling, field mapping, crop planning, record keeping, and various crop production activities of customers
- Operates a truck in accordance with established safety procedures
- Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with the opportunity to secure a CDL
- Maintains compliance with Company DOT requirements and Drivers Manual
- Ability to communicate with the supervisor about all maintenance and repairs of equipment and supplies.
- Driver must keep the Company vehicle clean, inspect the vehicle daily, and report any problems in accordance with DOT regulations and Company Policy.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Biology, Horticulture, or Related Education is preferred, but not required
- Three years of sales experience would be preferred, or two years of customer service is acceptable
- Skills and knowledge of the agriculture industry are highly desired.

Sales Associate
We are seeking a Retail Sales Representative at all our True Value Stores in Algoma, Rio Creek, and Sturgeon Bay to serve as our primary point of contact, deliver exceptional customer service, and contribute to meeting our sales quotas. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will contribute to your success in this role. Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied, and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers

Requirements
